Friday, 05/25/12 - Westside will have Field Day!! This year there are several "wet stations" so please remember to pack a set of dry clothes for your child. Swimwear is encourage, but all students must wear a shirt over their bathing suit (girls must also wear shorts). Easy on/off shoes such as "Crocs" or old tennis shoes would be a good choice for this day. Please remember to apply sunscreen!! All students will eat picnic style and should either bring a sack lunch or purchase one from the cafe.

Friday, 06/01/12 - LISD elementary schools will observe an Eleven O'Clock AM release time on this last day of school!! Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up at the early dismissal time. Buses will run their normal routes at this earlier time. Happy Summer!!!

Please check our "L&F" as there are MANY coats, lunch boxes, water bottles... We will donate all remaining items to the LISD Clothes Closet on the last day of school.

Join our cafeteria team! We are looking for individuals who can rotate in the school cafeteria between cashiering, cooking, serving and cleaning positions. Position offers excellent benefits and schedules.

Due to projected enrollment size for the 2012-2013 school year, this campus has been closed to new transfers, except for siblings of students who currently attend and who will attend next year. Please be aware that if your student is not zoned to this campus or does not already attend this campus on an approved transfer, this campus is closed and will not be accepting any NEW transfer requests for the following school year, 2012-2013.

Westside Elementary will be changing our specials schedule this year. Instead of an AB schedule, each class will attend PE on the same days throughout the year, either Tues/Thurs or Wed/Fri. Each class will attend their other fine arts classes on the two days that they do not attend PE.
